Studied in an International School in Kenya during elementary years.
Working for an NGO as a document translation volunteer, while studying agruculture at Oregon State University.  Spent 6 months in France to study French while in school.

After university, spent two years in Senegal as a Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteer, working as a rural development officer.

After returning to Japan, worked as on-site translator in a financial business, a semiconductor business, audit company etc. while starting to work as a freelance business translator from September 2006.
Completed Simul Academy E=>J General Translation (Fiction) Regular Course and workshop in 2006-08.
Translated the first book in 2009.

Since 2011, working in foreign language course material production for a broadcast station while translating books.

Self-Promotion:

Having spent 4 years of elementary years and 4 years of university years in Anglophone countries, my English skill is close to native level.
I took the entrance test and entered the Regular Course, the highest level for Simul Translation. I became the second student in over 5 years to immediately join the Regular Course without taking Prep and Basic Courses.
Working with the translation mediation site "Transmart", passed a trial just 2 months after registration, and ranked 2 consecutive months as one of the top 5 revenue generators among all registered translators. Promoted to AA rank in May 2007.
Both E=>J and J=>E translation have established reputation for its smoothness and speed.

*Note: The book on construction that comes up when you do an author search on Amazon was written not by me but someone else with the same name (kanji read differently).  The IT translator that comes up when you do a search with the keyword "translator" and my name is not me but someone else with the same name (kanji read differently).  Both are gentlemen much senior to me, so I feel terribly sorry that they might be accused of translating a romantic comedy because of me.

Oh, and the musician with the same name is not me either.  I am interested in what kind of music he plays, though.
